Rising Silo Brewery located in Blacksburg, Virginia has so many options when it comes to the beer they have on tap. I visited them this past week and I tried a few different options when it came to their beer. I am an IPA type of gal so my immediate response was to drink their Oopsy Daisy Hazy IPA and it was very strong. It tasted like a usual Hazy IPA and I loved it, I had about two of them and learned more about their brewery company while I was there. This particular IPA was lightly colored and and very floral. Like most IPA's this one was 7.7% and very hoppy. Another beer that I had to try while I was there was the Brush Mountain Blonde, and the reason why I was intrigued by this specific beer was because it is gluten removed. My boyfriend has celiac disease so he isn't able to drink beer unless it is a cider or a seltzer, so seeing beer that has the gluten removed is always a major plus when it comes to breweries.
What I learned from the brewery is that they like to keep around 10-14 beers on tap and have a few extra seasonal delights as well. They also usually have a band that plays and they sell food. Starting in 2014, Rising Silo has grown into a popular brewery for the Blacksburg area and Southwest Virginia. This brewery operates on a three barrel brewing system,
